(( Bless this bootiful acc ~~~~))
(( hope this isn't too shitty otl ))

Edd was handing out flyers for an upcoming event at the local park meant to raise money for charity. Taping some on lockers and walls as he smiled a gaped tooth smile as he made his rounds. Spotting a certain redhead, Edd approached cautiously and with friendly demeanor, always the epitome of innocent trust. "Salutations Kevin! Would you like a flyer?" The question remained firm, holding out the paper in hand with hopes of the other taking it.

The two were still on whole different levels of social status. Where Edd was the quiet geek, Kevin went off to be a popular jock. Their only interactions besides being neighbors was passing each other in the hall. Hell, they didn't even have classes together. Either way Edd had believed times had changed since their middle school days of bully and dork.
[ clean and simple so all good in da hood v u v ]

{ Class had been going on and the jock just wanted to go home. He was tired, one to get up extra early due to this '6 am workout ' schedule the coach forced upon the teens and being in school was just a drag. Math this, biology that, English all around. Typical day at Peach Creek high.

Though what's new were the walls which were decorated in white and letters upon them. Kevin never really bothered to read them for majority of the time the flyers never caught his interest. So instead he went to his locker, swirled his code and began to switch books around for his upcoming class.

All was cut short when the sound of a certain dork caused him to stop moving and alert his emerald gaze upon the male next to him. }

" Sup Double Dweeb. You're the one putting the flyers up, huh? "

{ He really didn't sound too interested upon the thing written on the flyer but to muse the male he snatched from his hands and began scanning the words written on the piece of paper. }

" Charity? For what? Whales? "
(( sweet uwu <3 ))

Edd made a disheartened expression upon the familiar nickname but tried not to let it bother him so. Sticks and stones, Eddward. He'd kept his chin high, at least grateful that the other had taken the flimsy paper from his hand at all. In truth he shouldn't have been all that surprised of Kevin's attitude toward him albeit nicer than if he were seen with Eddy and Ed. With a sigh he pointed at a section of the flyer that explained the details of it's intentions.

"No, Kevin. Not whales but actually for foster children. They'll be bakes goods, little games and for every five dollar donation a toy and meal is given to a needy child at an orphanage founded in the city. It would be a pleasure to see you there." He added the last part as a sweet coaxing to get the redhead to come. The more the better afterall. "I'll be there managing one of the booths and donation points scattered in the park. You don't have to come, you can even just donate instead if you wish."
[ yeeee v u v ]

How was Kevin suppose to know it wasn't for whales. Yeah sure he doesn't talk to Double D as often as he they were when kids. Actually, come to think of it, they rarely ever talked. Except for said times during scams when the youths had nothing to do in their summer vacation and desired the large candy everyone ate. But he had overheard once that the male enjoyed marine life so that was his first assumption when discussing something about charity.

Course he could have also read the flyer.

" Donation huh? "

Kevin might not look it but he was indeed interested in such event. He still had a heart behind all that jerk and asshole attitude and the tone behind sockhead's voice made the redhead look up from the paper with expression still slightly hard.

" I don't have cash on me but after school I'll go home and grab some. Just give me a time and I'll see what I can do. "

Edd wasn't truly sure if this was the greatest idea. Both he and Kevin had agreed to keep their relationship relatively secret for the sake of them and peers (not everyone was accepting to such a pairing and he would be the first to admit they were a strange set) but it was Valentine's Day and that within itself meant expectations needed to be met. He settled on a happy medium of placing a note in Kevin's locker and a few chocolates in his gym locker for him to find. Simple enough, Edd was happy when first period rolled around knowing Kevin would have seen the note that morning even if they didn't have a class together today.
